ProDePaz Network — Nicaragua

Strengthening Civil Society and Human Rights Defenders (PDDH)

The project ProDePaz Network — Nicaragua It has as its main purpose Strengthen capacities of Nicaraguan civil society organizations (CSOs) and human rights defenders (PDDH) in situation of vulnerability in exile.

Through three strategic axes of intervention, this program seeks articulate, form and protect to key civil society actors to respond to the challenges generated by the closure of civic spaces and restrictions on Nicaragua.

Strengthen Nicaraguan CSOs and PDDHs in exile through training, coordination and strategies for international advocacy, promoting their sustainability, leadership and capacity to respond to the context of vulnerability.

The project PRODEPAZ Network - Nicaragua has proven to be a comprehensive, sustainable and replicable model of action to strengthen Nicaraguan CSOs and defenders in crisis contexts. Their approach combines training, protection and articulation, ensuring that vulnerable social actors Can they continue to work In the defense of human rights And the social justice from exile.

  • 201 defenders formed in International Incidence before international organizations such as the UN, IACHR and EP.
