Connected Women is a RIDHE programme for Nicaraguan women living in exile and situations of forced mobility. It strengthens their ability to exercise rights, overcome administrative and digital barriers, access economic opportunities and build support networks.
Integration is addressed as a multidimensional process: technology supports autonomy, guidance and regularisation help enable access to rights, employment and self-employment support economic independence, and women’s networks reduce isolation and vulnerability.
How it is implemented
Initial assessment of digital, employment and administrative circumstances.
Methodology: 20% useful theory, 60% guided practice and 20% peer exchange.
Pathway: digital foundations → rights and procedures → employment and income → mentoring → network and follow-up.
Each session produces a practical, ready-to-use output.
