Empowerment through Education: A Step Towards Restoring Rights for Refugee Women

RIDHE's Emergency Education program shares his memories that unfold a tapestry of stories, dreams and struggles.

The RIDHE continues to promote multiple actions based on education as a key to women's empowerment and autonomy. Therefore, within the framework of their Emergency Education Program (EEE), they are creating valuable opportunities for Nicaraguan women in situations of forced mobility to have access to education and technical training. “Currently, 26 women are participating in an intensive English course at the European Academy in Costa Rica, which not only expands their language skills, but also facilitates their integration into the host country,” said Marta Castillo, RIDHE's emergency education project officer.

She also pointed out that the network of networks, which has a great impact on working with refugees, will launch an innovative digitalization program, where women will develop skills in digital technology, a vital sector in today's world of work. “This training process is accompanied by solid psychosocial monitoring, offering them the necessary support to face the challenges of rebuilding their lives in a new environment,” said Castillo.

From the organization, they continue to give life to initiatives that restore the right to decent and quality education, strengthening employability and strengthening the economic and social integration of many women in situations of displacement. “This work doesn't end here; our mission is to continue supporting more women, providing them with the tools for a future full of opportunities,” Castillo concluded.
